Covid 19 UPDATE

I intend to try to keep things as ‘normal’ as possible for our little ones during this difficult time. Babies will naturally explore things using their mouth, this will not be discouraged as individual instruments and equipment will be provided during song time. All play items will be cleaned between and during sessions and attendees will be asked to clean their hands before entering the session. Masks will be encouraged to be worn.

Our groups have been redesigned to meet the national and local government standards and have been approved by the East Riding Council. Attendee numbers have been lowered to allow for parents to remain 2 meters apart during the sessions. When possible (weather permitting) sessions can be delivered outside. Only one parent per child/children is allowed to attend the session and all parents are encouraged to wear a mask at all times.

Who we are and what we do

Creative Explorers is a creative learning and sensory group aimed at babies and toddlers aged 0-4 years. Our groups encourage attendees to explore different themed creative play stations each week which are all inspired by books, plays, songs or nursery rhymes.

We build on the knowledge of colour and shapes using artistic materials and sourced recycled products. Each session concludes with a magical and calm song and parachute wind down time where children can join in with familiar songs and stories.

I am a qualified and experienced Art Teacher and I plan and design my sessions to be a truly unique and magical experience. I provide a fun learning environment to help build on children’s inner creative talent and artistic knowledge to inspire future mini masters.

Our sessions are also suitable for children with Autism and any learning difficulties. By informing the group leader, the sessions can be altered and tailored to suit the needs of the attendees.

All materials are soured from recycled outlets or donated from local businesses. We aim to provide a minimal plastic usage within the groups by using wash stations and wooden utensils, accessories and toys where possible.

Come to our sessions and experience a new kind of playgroup.

Looking forward to seeing you soon.
